Amir Heidari, smuggler of refugees, was filmed and interviewed in a Swedish prison, talking about a Europe without walls. A performance piece describes how various parties through the years have tried to influence different versions of the filmed material.
Part of a series of videos on the lives of images of questionable autonomy: Images of Debt (2005), About Face (2019) and Phantom Zone Projector II (2020). They all examine and question the circumstances under which certain photographs were taken, how the photos were circulated and how they accumulated interpretations and re-interpretations, distinctly separate from the lives of the people portrayed in the images.
